What is KeyWars?

KeyWars is a free multiplayer typing battle game where players compete in real-time typing challenges. Choose from unique characters with special abilities, battle against players worldwide, and improve your typing speed while having fun!

Do I need to create an account to play?

No! You can play immediately in guest mode without any registration. However, signing in with Google allows you to save your progress and track statistics across all your matches.

Is KeyWars free to play?

Yes! KeyWars is completely free to play. We use advertisements to support the game's development and server costs, but all game features are available to everyone.

What languages are supported?

Currently, KeyWars features English words for typing challenges. The game interface is available in multiple languages including English and Turkish.

How do I play KeyWars?

Playing KeyWars is simple:

1. Choose your character (Fighter, Mage, or Titan)
2. Join a multiplayer room or create your own
3. Type the falling words as fast and accurately as possible
4. Use special skills by typing specific words
5. Defeat your opponent by reducing their HP to zero

What are the different character classes?

KeyWars features three unique character classes:

• Fighter: Balanced character with offensive and defensive abilities
• Mage: High damage dealer with powerful magical attacks
• Titan: Tank class with strong defensive shields and HP

How do skills work?

Each character has unique skills that activate when you type correctly. Skills use KP (Skill Points) which regenerate during battle. Ultimate abilities are powerful moves that can turn the tide of battle but require full KP to use.

What game modes are available?

KeyWars offers several game modes:

• Quick Match: Jump into a random battle instantly
• Ranked Mode: Competitive matches with ranking system
• Custom Rooms: Create private rooms with custom settings
• Arena Matchmaking: Best-of-3 competitive matches

What are the system requirements?

KeyWars runs in your web browser and has minimal requirements:

• Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
• Stable internet connection (recommended: 5+ Mbps)
• JavaScript enabled
• Physical keyboard (touch keyboards may work but physical is recommended)

Can I play on mobile devices?

While KeyWars can technically run on mobile browsers, it's optimized for desktop play with a physical keyboard. Mobile support may be added in future updates.

I'm experiencing lag. What can I do?

If you experience lag during gameplay:

• Check your internet connection speed
• Close other browser tabs and applications
• Try a different browser (Chrome is recommended)
• Disable browser extensions temporarily
• Clear your browser cache

How is my typing speed (WPM) calculated?

WPM (Words Per Minute) is calculated based on the standard formula: (Characters typed / 5) / Time in minutes. Accuracy is also factored in, with incorrect words reducing your effective WPM.

Will there be leaderboards?

Yes! We're developing a comprehensive leaderboard system that will rank players based on their performance in ranked matches. Rankings will be determined by wins, win rate, and overall performance. Only registered users (not guest players) will appear on leaderboards to ensure fair competition and accurate tracking.

Can I change my username?

If you signed in with Google, your display name comes from your Google account. Guest players receive a random username that persists for their session.

What statistics are tracked?

For registered users, KeyWars tracks:

• Total matches played
• Wins and losses
• Win rate percentage
• Average typing speed (WPM)
• Highest WPM achieved
• Detailed match history and analytics

How do I report a bug?
